What is internet?

Internet service providers charge a monthly fees for this service. You can choose the type of connection according to your necessity to go online. The type of connection you want to determine which companies you prefer from to provide the service.

Technologies mentioned above differ from each other in their upload and download speed, bit transfer rate and level of service.

Cable connection:

 You may go through your local cable company to get you internet connection using cable that brings your TV programming rather than your phone line. This is another type of broadband connection, which is relatively fast.

It uses coaxial/common axis cable which is capable of transferring data at much higher speed than common Ethernet cable. The Cable modem includes two types of connections internet service and other for Cable TV signals.

Wireless Hotspot:

 If you take a wireless computer, tablet, laptop or smart phone with you on a trip, you can access the connection made by someone else. You will find wireless hotspots in many public places such as airports, cafes, and hotels etc.

If you’re in range of such Hotspot your computer usually fins the connection automatically, making internet service available to you free.

Cellphone networks:

 If you use a smart phone to connect to the internet, you’ll be able to access the internet through your phone provider’s 3G or 4G. Some tablets can also be connected by this way, and you buy add-on devices that allow other computers to access a call phone network.

And if you need Wi-Fi access for other devices where there is no wireless hotspot, you may be able to create a temporary wireless hotspot using your phone.
